In 2012 we made every effort to ensure that the Festival was accessible to our whole audience.
People who required special seating, such as those in wheelchairs or with hearing difficulties, were encouraged to contact Ticketek on 0800 842 538, or, if any further access issues arose, the Festival on (04) 496 5493.
Information about accessible parking and public transport in Wellington was easily available at www.wellington.govt.nz/ move/lifestyle/community/disability.
Details on the access available at specific venues was available on the main Festival website.
All venues had limited wheelchair seating. Designated wheelchair spaces (where available) and one companion seat were sold at the lowest price in the house for that performance.
For Friends of the Festival, access information was also available for the Friends Tours.
PATRONS WHO WERE DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING
There were hearing loops available at both the Michael Fowler Centre and St James Theatre.
